IN TIMES OF DESPAIR... PRAISE HIM
Sometime, you find yourself in situations where praise is the last thing on your mind. You get so overwhelmed with the situation that your sense of praise is shut down. The psalmist found himself in that situation. He felt so bad that he had to address his soul and cheer himself up. It gets worse when you have been faithful in church attendance, sowing seeds, giving offerings, helping others. You find it difficult believing that such a situation can come upon you, inspite of all you have done. It could be loss of a loved one, loss of a job, sickness, accident, and so on. One thing you need to know is that God is not the source of evil. Only good things come from God. When evil happens, the enemy struck. Don’t forget that the enemy goes about looking for whom to devour; he looks for people who have broken their hedged so he can strike.
